The Center is Reopen!

HERE YE, HERE YE!! I have great news! The Madison County Senior Center is open as of Monday, May 17th, for the first time since March 23, 2020.
The cafe will be open for lunch inside or if the weather is nice you can take your lunch over to the shelter house. The cafe will look a little different, but in a good way. You will pay for your lunch when you check in at the office.
I want to make sure you understand, we will be opening up slowly, which means they have allowed us to open, but we still have protocols to follow, and we don't want to jeopardize our reopening or give them reason to shut us back down. Please don't expect all activities back to normal right away, they still want us to limit crowd sizes, and encourage group cohorting. I can't emphasize this enough, I know you are anxious to get back to the center and normal, but, IF YOU ARE SICK, STAY HOME!!!!
This is exciting news and we have been waiting a long, long time to get here. Please help us and follow the rules when you come back, we want to stay open and we want everyone to stay healthy.
The staff has been vaccinated, I hope you have too! I can't wait to hear the laughter in our building once again. We will see you soon!!!
